Once there lived a pious monk.

Satan, the great deciver wanted that monk for his own.

He came to the monk, "whatever it is you desire the most I will give you in return for your soul."

The monk refused and angrily drove Satan away.

Satan returned with the woman who hD broke the monks heart and had caused him to join the monastary.

"I shall give her all that her heart desires if you give me your soul" said Satan.

Again the monk drove him away.

Satan came to him again and said, for seven days I shall give you all that your heart desires, then you will give me your soul willingly.

The monk thought to himself, I would never give my soul willingly, so I shall accept the offer.

On the first day the monk asked for the greatest and holiest monastry the world had ever seen, Satan begrudgingly gave it to him.

On the Second day he asked for an end to all hunger and illness, and Satan granted him this.

On the third day he asked for the day to be three hours longer and it was done.
